Complementary Therapies

St Wilfrid's Complementary Therapists provide additional services of Aromatherapy which includes the use of calming essential oils and massage mainly to the hands, feet, head and shoulders and Reflexology which focuses on the gentle stimulation of pressure points on the feet and hands to restore balance to the body. Both of these can reduce stress levels, induce relaxation, help tiredness and insomnia, ease aches and pains and give our patients a great opportunity to relax and have some quality time.

Treatments take approximately 30 minutes and a course of six treatments is usually offered. Generally, most benefit is obtained when patients are seen individually in tranquil surrounds.

How can I be referred?
Referral is through the District Nurse, Macmillan Nurses (with the GP’s approval) or by your General Practitioner or Hospital Consultant. All our therapists are fully qualified and experienced in their respective therapy and are members of professional organisations.
